Low turn out at "EQUINOX"

It is Halloween weekend and the PARTYHAAD crew decided to check out ‘EQUINOX- Celestial Darkness’ on Friday October 30, 2009 to see if they could get a good scare. We entered the venue at about 12:19am and we were greeted by musical selections by Black Hearts Music, however the venue was empty, consisting of about 30 patrons. About 45 minutes later the low turn out was still evident but the small group that were present decided that they were not going to let their night go to waste, this was evident by the big forward that Black Hearts Music got when they played Demarco’s True Friend.

We left the party at about 1:15am and the number of patrons present made a slight jump from 30 to about 40 and they were being entertained by T.N.G. who was playing a very good musical selection. On our way out people were trickling in and it was clear to us that more people were outside the venue than inside.

Overall there were all the right ingredients for a great event, including a well staffed bar, strong musical selections and a pleasing ambience. If the promoters put in much more effort next time around to promote the event and provide a bar wit a wider variety to chose from, it can be an event that will gain the respect of many patrons.
